January 20th, 2010

The Nokia 6700 Classic Illuvial is a slim line phone, being only 11 mm thick. Although compact in size it’s packed full of features and its fashionable design is tried and tested. It’s a simple and uncluttered phone but its features all serve a purpose which is evident when using the handset. It offers internet access at speeds of up to 10 Mbps, which is one of the fastest mobile phone access speeds available.

The phone has a display screen which is 2.2 inches in size and is a TFT screen. The screen can display 240 x 320 pixels, and up to 16 million colour variants. This means that images appear life like in their colour representation. A navigational button sits centrally in the keypad and offers the means of navigation. The phone comes with a number of alert types, which includes vibration and/or ring and provides the means to download polyphonic ringtones as well as Mp3 to be used if desired.

The camera is a 5.0 megapixel camera, which operates at a resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels and provides excellent quality images. Auto focus and an LED flash ensure images taken are in focus and illuminated sufficiently for the conditions. The camera also allows the user to record video and playback at VGA quality and 15 frames per second. This is a useful alternative to still images and has grown in popularity over the last couple of years.

GPRS, HSCSD, EDGE and HSDPA are all included within the package and provide multiple means of connectivity. As mentioned previously, internet access is extremely fast on this handset, with speeds of up to 10 Mbps available. In addition to the extensive connections, Bluetooth and microUSB are also provided. GPS with A-GPS support and Nokia maps offers satellite navigation.

For musical entertainment, the phone comes with an MP3 player and an FM radio. Local and national radio stations are available at the touch of a button. The MP3 player will play all major audio file formats including MP3/M4A/AAC and WMA. The phone also comes with voice command and flash lite 3.

The Nokia 6700 Classic Illuvial is an accomplished handset with many features which catch the imagination. The phone, as does its counterpart the Nokia 5530 Illuvial, encompasses a wide range of features, but its main benefit is its internet access, which means that browsing the net is simple and very quick. The popularity of this phone is sure to be a foregone conclusion.
